Product Info FAQ
Is theAir Assist Pump included with the 20W & 40W Laser Module?
How do I attach the 20W & 40W Laser Module to the 2.0 / Artisan machine?
For 2.0 machine owners, you can attach the 20W & 40W Laser Module to the machine either using the Quick Swap mechanism or four screws. Watch the installation video here.
For Artisan owners, there are two methods to attach the 20W & 40W Laser Module to your Artisan machine.
Method 1: You can detach the Quick Swap Toolhead Plate from the original 10W Laser/3D Printing/CNC Module and secure it onto the new laser module with two screws provided in the new laser module package. Watch the installation video here.
Method 2: We understand that attaching the new laser module using the existing toolhead plate may not be ideal for all Artisan owners. To address this concern, we are actively working on providing an extra dedicated Quick Swap Toolhead Plate specifically designed for attaching the new laser module to your Artisan reliably. However, please note that this solution is still under development, and we cannot guarantee its availability at the same time as you receive your new laser modules.
We have taken note of your request and this development task has been assigned a high priority. Our expectation is to make this dedicated toolhead plate available by November 2023. We understand that cost is a concern, but please be assured that we are committed to making it affordable for you. In fact, we are even considering bearing the additional costs ourselves to provide you with an optimal solution.
We will continue to keep you updated on the progress of this solution in our community. Please stay tuned for further updates regarding the dedicated Quick Swap Toolhead Plate.
What is the compatibility between the Snapmaker machines and the 20W & 40W Laser Module?

If I have both the Snapmaker 2.0 machine and the Snapmaker Artisan machine, which one should I choose?
We recommend choosing the Snapmaker 2.0 machine with the 20W & 40W Laser Module. When you purchase the Snapmaker 2.0 machine, you will be provided with a Boosted Toolhead Cable and an Air Assist Pump Conversion Cable. These cables are essential for the proper functioning of the 20W and 40W Laser Module, as there may be compatibility issues without them.
However, Snapmaker Artisan & Ray machines don't need these extra cables. If you have mistakenly selected the wrong machine type when placing your order, you can contact support at firstname.lastname@example.org to make the needed changes.
What are the specifications of the Air Assist Pump?
