What should I do if the laser cannot burn the material though I can see the laser beam? – Snapmaker

Please follow the below steps to troubleshoot:

1) Please re-find the finest focus point. The finest focus point is the brightest and smallest point of light you can find when you control the Z-axis. When the laser engraving module is too high or too low, the light spot is big and the light beam spreads. Please adjust the Z-axis to find the finest focus point, which is the brightest and smallest light spot.

2) Please connect the machine with your computer and open the console. Enter “M3S255 P100” in the console to set laser power manually. The laser will be on with 100% power. The laser shall burn a piece of paper or a wood board at full power. Otherwise, the laser tube might be defective. Please refer to step 3.

3) If you are sure of the finest focus point, please tell us how long the laser had been working before it’s defective. It will help us decide if the laser is defective. The continuous usage time should not be longer than 5 hours Please contact support@snapmaker.com for assistance.
