Possible Cause
- One of the connected modules is running outdated firmware.
Actions
1. Click update and check whether the firmware can be updated. If not, proceed to the next step.
2. Observe whether this prompt appears when the machine is turned on and cannot be skipped.
- If yes, follow the steps below to update the firmware.
Note turn off the machine before plugging or unplugging the cable, otherwise it will cause damage to the machine.
(1) Unplug all modules and only connect the Power Module, Controller and Touchscreen.
(2) Use the USB flash drive to update the latest firmware.
a. Download the latest firmware from this link.
b. Put the firmware update file Snapmaker2_V{version}.bin in your USB flash drive.
c. Plug the USB into the USB slot of the Controller.
d. On the touchscreen, tap Files, and select the update file under the USB tab to start the update.
(3) After the update is complete, plug all modules again and observe whether the prompt still appears. If the prompt no longer appears, repeat step (2) again.
- If not, use the USB flash drive to update the latest firmware directly follow step (2).
